Our Platform
On citizenship: we feel that, in order to protect our society and maintain peace, it is essential that people interested in participating in the INU government should complete a simple citizenship application. This will help to screen out those who wish to hinder, harm, or destroy.
On the inter-regional government: we feel that establishing an overarching government above each of the International Unions is a great idea that would promote peace and unity among the regions involved. However, it is important to protect the rights and wishes of the residents of the INU. Therefore, the Moderate Party advocates a weak inter-regional government, at least initially.
On alliances and other foreign relations, in general: the Moderate Party believes it is important to maintain close relationships with the other International Unions. However, we believe that alliances with other regions would only hinder the potential and the achievement of our goals as a region. Close and amiable relations with other regions with similar goals as ours is encouraged, however.
On a regional military: the Moderate Party stands firmly against any type of organization designed for aggression, defenders, or with the aim of involving itself in foreign regions. However, it is necessary for the region to have a defense force, in the event of a raider invasion or some other emergency in our own region or the other international Unions.
We also support the inter-regional defense organization, even though it would be actively involved in the raider/defender gameplay, it would be separate of each individual region's affairs.
Party Organization
All members of the party are equal, with the exception of the party leaders - the Chairman and the co-Chairman. More chairmen may be added later, when the party and the region is larger.
The Chairman is a permanent position. He or she shall be responsible for directly editing the party platform and representing the party in public (speeches, essays, declarations, etc.).
The co-Chairman is a nominated position. He or she shall ensure that party members are working together in harmony. In disputes, the co-Chairman shall moderate and guide the discussion to a positive conclusion. The co-Chairman shall also temporarily take over the responsibilities of the Chairman, if he or she is, or has been, unavailable for more than three days at a time.
Every two months, beginning on November 1st, the Chairman shall officially nominate a candidate for the position of co-Chairman, and the members of the party shall approve or disapprove of the candidate through a two day majority vote.
This organization is only temporary and will be amended once the party becomes official.
