I will do that, then.

On the forum background, I didn't change it. I was thinking it wasn't loading. I'll restore it to how it was before.

I'll go with Zwotstyg's idea.

One more thing. As stated, I won't compromise on the VP being the counter for the Senate. I do have something else to suggest though.

I will accept the GA electing its own counter, under two conditions. First, candidates must be chosen by the delegates (as in, people volunteer and send their personal statements to their region's delegate, and the delegate selects the best). Then the GA representatives will vote for their favorite candidate, but will not be allowed to vote for their own region's candidate. The second condition is that the VP be permitted to break a tie vote for the GA head AND he/she be the head of the Senate.

If it's just an administrative post, then it shouldn't matter if the counter is appointed or not.

I would prefer that the VP appoint the GA head, and I'm also fine with the CRC electing him/her. I can accept that third suggestion, but I feel the other choices are considerably better.

Which do you prefer, Othelos?

Well, since things are pretty complicated already, it seems like appointing would be the easiest and fastest thing. It can always be changed if it doesn't work out, anyway.

That's ridiculous. Have a referendum. We're going nowhere.

And so we concluded with the compromise.

To restate the details of the GA chairman compromise, here is how the process was proposed to work, although we can debate the whereabouts of it:
--Volunteers for the GA chairman will send a telegram to their region's delegate with a 1-2 paragraph personal statement.
--Each delegate will select the best of his/her region's volunteers. Those selected will be presented to the CRC.
--The CRC will voted to choose the best candidate for the GA chairman. Each CRC member will not be allowed to vote for their region's candidate.
--The GA chairman candidate with the most CRC votes is placed as the GA chairman.

That's how it was proposed. If there are any disagreements about its details, please post them and we'll work them out.

We'll go with that. It wouldn't be too good to change it after the referendum anyway.
